More About the Project
The Rozino Project is the flagship project of Tintiyava Exploration AD and represents an investment proposal for the extraction and processing of polymetallic gold-silver ores from the Rozino deposit, Tintiyava area.
The project is located in the area of Ivaylovgrad Municipality, Haskovo Region, in the Eastern Rhodopes — a region with a long geological history, significant mineral potential and established traditions in the exploration of underground resources.
For Tintiyava Exploration AD, the Rozino Project is not only a geological and technical project, but also an opportunity for the responsible development of a natural resource, the creation of long-term economic value and a contribution to the local community.

GEOLOGICAL BASIS
Geological Characteristics
The Rozino deposit is located in a geological setting characteristic of the Eastern Rhodopes. The area is part of a complex tectonic zone where, over geological history, conditions existed for the development of hydrothermal systems and the formation of gold-bearing mineralization.
The mineralization at the Rozino deposit is classified as low-sulphidation epithermal gold mineralization. It is mainly hosted in Paleogene breccia-conglomerate sediments and is represented primarily by silicification and less pronounced vein forms.
This type of geological environment is well known in the Eastern Rhodopes and has been the subject of long-standing interest from Bulgarian and international geological companies.
EXPLORATION
Exploration Activities
Tintiyava Exploration AD applies a systematic and expert approach to the development of the Rozino Project.
As part of the geological exploration of the deposit, data from previous exploration activities were used, together with new information collected through the company’s own field work, geological mapping, structural interpretation, drilling and laboratory analyses.
In the period 2017–2020, more than 22,000 metres of drilling were completed, 580 metres of trenching were carried out, more than 22,000 core samples were taken, and metallurgical tests were performed on composite drill-core samples.
These activities allow for a better understanding of the geological structure of the deposit, an assessment of its potential and the preparation of subsequent technical, economic and environmental analyses.

CURRENT STAGE
Stage of Development
The Rozino Project is at the investment proposal stage and is going through the environmental, technical and administrative procedures provided for by law.
As part of the procedure, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report has been prepared, as well as an Appropriate Assessment. The project has also been reviewed in a transboundary context due to the connection of the catchment areas in the region with the territory of the Republic of Greece.
Public consultations have been held in the affected settlements and in the municipal centre of Ivaylovgrad. The project may only be implemented after all applicable procedures have been completed and the necessary decisions, permits and approvals have been obtained from the competent authorities.
INVESTMENT
Reserves, Resources and Investment Proposal
A Geological Report for the Rozino deposit, including the calculation of gold ore reserves and resources and the registration of a commercial discovery, established 11.3 million tonnes of ore with an average grade of 1.33 g/t gold.
On this basis, an investment proposal has been developed for the “Extraction and processing of polymetallic ores from the Rozino deposit, Tintiyava area”.
The project provides for the extraction and processing of ore using flotation technology to produce concentrate, the construction of the necessary infrastructure, management of mining waste and phased reclamation, in compliance with all applicable legal and environmental requirements.
The project does not envisage the production of bullion metal on site. The final product of the technological process is a concentrate obtained through flotation processing.
The main activities included in the investment proposal are:
- open-pit mining of polymetallic ores;
- processing of the ore by flotation to produce concentrate;
- construction of the necessary supporting infrastructure;
- management of mining waste;
- phased reclamation of the affected areas.
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS NATURE
Environment and Monitoring
Since 2018, monitoring of various environmental parameters has been carried out in the area of the Rozino deposit. The aim is to collect sufficient and reliable information about the state of the environment prior to the potential implementation of the project.
The monitoring includes observations of biodiversity in different seasons, collection of meteorological data, measurement of water levels in boreholes, monitoring of the waters of Yuren Dere and Arpa Dere, assessment of soil and agricultural product quality, as well as other environmental observations.
The collected data have been used in the preparation of the EIA report and form part of the company’s overall approach to the informed, responsible and transparent development of the project.
